In the heart of Tuscany's Orcia Valley

Village House × Perfect to relax and explore

"We love this house, we love this village and we love Italia!"

The Val d'Orcia. The best of Tuscany.

The region south of Siena, known as the Val d'Orcia, has the best of Tuscany: a handful of famous hill towns, the wine area of Brunello and some of Italy's most photographed landscapes. Think of Russell Crowe’s 'Gladiator'. Visitors come for the delicious food and wine, the relaxed atmosphere and the Renaissance culture.

Explore the famous nearby hill towns of Montalcino, Pienza, and Montepulciano. Further afield, Siena and Florence are essential destinations too with their architecture, museums and designer shops. Alternatively, you can spend a week without hardly leaving the village, soaking up 'La Dolce Vita'. The region is a mecca for walkers.

Want to chill by a pool? - No problem! Head to a hill-top hotel to enjoy sunbathing, swimming and a long lunch. Alternatively dip in volcanic hot springs, get pampered at a boutique thermal spa, or even spend a day at the beach on the Tuscan coast or nearby lake.

Casa Osenna. Tucked in the heart of the village of San Quirico d'Orcia.

Let me just say that staying in your house was amazing. I thought it was in the perfect location and I honestly felt like I was away for two weeks. It is decorated very tastefully and I had great nights sleep in the comfortable beds. That is rare for me!! We loved driving to the neighbouring towns and sight seeing. Eating at some of the local places in the village was great. Some of the best meals we had all week! Everyone was so nice in Tuscany, and it was a super relaxing vacation. I would go back to the house again in a heartbeat.

An amazing week (Our kids call it Squirrel Town!). The Pasticceria, the Gelati shop and the Wine man we loved. The Trattoria Osenna just up the street made our family feel welcome. Simple yet delicious food at reasonable prices. The craziness of the staff serving the tables I think added to the warmth of the place. Highly recommend taking the kids up to the hot springs in Bagno Vignoni, Thank you again for an awesome week in ‘Casa in Paradiso’. We hope to be back.

I just wanted to take a quick minute and thank you profusely for all your help, consideration and hospitality. We absolutely loved San Quirico, what a charming village! And your house is outstanding! We loved to open the windows and look out onto the street. We couldn’t have hoped for anything better and would highly recommend to anyone (let me know if you need help booking the place, I will be your biggest promoter!!!)

Val d’Orcia is our favourite spot in Italy. I strongly recommend staying at this great property in the perfect location on the main pedestrian street.

Thanks for a fabulous break. The house is beautiful – you must be really proud of the work you have done on it. Very relaxing week – the kids were not up for climbing the hills of the surrounding villages too often, so we did lots of lazing round the pool. There was a festival on in the village, so John even managed to join in a race at the last minute (spotted the runners while we were getting takeaway pizza for the kids!). The locals seemed to be delighted to see him, so that was great. Ran round the walls myself a few times, but it was very hilly,

We had a fantastic week at the villa. It went way too fast and I still can’t believe my holiday is over. We had brilliant weather the whole week and the whole experience was amazing. We had a wonderful experience of the next door neighbours crushing grapes for wine each afternoon right in the street outside your house! It was fascinating to watch and such a memorable experience. I also totally agree with you that little restaurant just down the street from your place has fantastic food. Thanks once again,

Your house was truly an oasis - I loved everything about it and the town is a gem. Your suggestions for restaurants were spot on - I especially loved La Porta in Monticchiello - truffles are in season now and I had the absolute best pasta meal of my life there (which is saying quite a lot since I’m 100% Italian). And the local hangouts were exceptional as well - Vecchio Forno had an AMAZING gnocchi in truffles! But some of our best nights were spent right at your home — we went to the local butcher and cooked our own meals and ate by candle light on that fabulous terrace. Bella!

We visited Montepulciano, Siena, Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, Pisa, San Gimignano, and of course Florence. We ate the Vecchio Forno in the village twice (loved the atmosphere) as well as a wonderful restaurant in Siena call Ristorante Guido. We visited the Uffizi Gallery, The Accademia, Boboli Gardens as well as the Duomo in Siena. Such friendly people particularly in San Quirico (it took us three days to pronounce it correctly). You have a lovely house and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I gave a raving review to my friend Jessalyn who will be booking soon.

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us - we loved stunning location, driving through the countryside to explore the hilltop towns, the friendly local restaurants, the comfortable beds and the wonderful patio. What we didn’t love - HAVING TO LEAVE!

A beautiful home and a welcoming and relaxed San Quirico. Thank you for all your restaurant recommendations and the cookery class at Degli Archi was excellent. We couldn’t think of a more charming place to enjoy our honeymoon!!
